Boston In 1770’s
Here I am standing on the American grounds grateful that I am still alive. It is important in my perspective to appreciate the way the British treats us colonists and to be grateful that they haven’t killed us. As my early ancestors who use to say when they lived in England, “Don’t cut the hand that feeds you!” I suppose this is true but King Charles the 3rd is putting many duties on everyday goods that I buy. By these conditions I do oppose the king as though he needs money to repay for the recent war with France most people around here are being very stressed to the point that they have nothing to do with the war so why should we pay. Samuel Adams made a passionate comment relating to this fact as here was his slogan, “No taxation without representation!” Towards the British according to the conditions they are placing I think they are not still giving persuasive enough reasons for the duties they are placing for me to comply with. In the future I hope boycotts by the sons and daughters of liberty will change the king’s strictness on our people.
